Old Route 66 Oatman Highway

Hi Everyone:

There is a really great stretch of old Route 66 that runs away from the interstate for over 50 miles. The Oatman Highway passes through a scenic desert and mountain area of western Arizona. It runs from Kingman AZ through some small southwest towns, including the quite unique town of Oatman, which has wild Burrows roaming the streets. The Highway rejoins the interstate at the Arizona / California state line. It was a rather warm day in the area. The car's outside thermometer read 104 deg.
