Da Road Trip

On March 18th 2013 we set out on a 5 month journey of a lifetime. We'll be heading west down famous Route 66 from St. Louis, MO to CA. We will travel thru OR, WA, ID,UT, WY, MT & SD. Visiting National Parks along the way. We will then travel home to Louisiana. This blog will document our day to day experiences & keep us in contact with family & friends. Petroglyph National Monument

Hi Everyone:

Today Barb & I explored Boca Negra Canyon trail. This is a volcanic cinder cone site featuring designs & symbols carved into the rocks by Americal Indians & Spanish settlers 400 to 700 years ago. These pictures shows us navigating the trail & viewing some of the Petroglaphs.

We also visited the New Mexico Museum of Natural Histiory and Science. We were fortinute to be visiting during a traveling exihibit of the Titanic artifacts recovered from the shipwreck site. Photos of this exhibit were strickly prohibited.
