Navajo and Hopi Indians Farming in Canyon De Chelly

Hi Everyone:

We moved on to our current location near the Petrified Forest today. The weather was nasty & we had to drive through snow flurries. Fortunately we didn't have a long drive today.

I did not take any pictures today. This picture is of the Navajo and Hopi farming on the floor of Canyon De Chelly. Even though this is a national monument, it is on an Indian Reservation. They have the option to live on the land around the rim of the canyon & farm on the floor. Notice the dwelling ruins in the canyon wall near the farm.
