Zion National Park, Utah - Day 2

Hi Everyone:

Contrary to what everyone believes, Barb & I were not abducted by aliens. We are now in West Glacier, Montana. This is just outside Glacier National Park. The Internet service has been less than desirable but the scenery is spectacular. This has made it very difficult to keep up to date with Da Road Trip Blog.

This post is from June 21 st. This was our second day in Zion. The weather was hot in the canyon but we decided not to backpack our supplies for the day. The backpacks were uncomfortable since we were not use to them. We just carried as much water & supplies as possible in our pockets. Fortunately the trails we did today were mostly shady.

This morning on our way to Zion, we noticed this unique wooden RV on display out front of an RV Park / Motel. I would have loved to have taken a peek inside. Our RV Park was pretty far from Zion & we needed to get back on our way.

Back in Zion & on the Shuttle. Views are just as great as yesterday.

"Court Of The Patriarch" These Peaks are named after Abraham, Isaac & Jacob.

Spectacular views from the trail.

Dripping springs create hanging gardens.

Now on the Grotto Trail. This Trail goes from the Grotto to the Zion Park Lodge.

The Zion Lodge. This is at the end of the Grotto Trail. After a Brief Rest we Will Start on the Lower Emerald Pool Trail Which Begins Here. (NOTE: I Will Complete This Post In A Couple Of Days.)
